The Business Success Club

In addition to monthly group coaching, club members will also benefit from weekly business fundamentals and personal development sessions. It’s no surprise that businesses fail, even when they have passionate people running them. The key to running a successful business is having help from experienced business owners. At the Business Success Club, we’re committed to supporting businesses and their owners to achieve their long and short-term goals.

The Club is designed to help small business owners who are ready to do the hard work and get BIG results in return. On the first Tuesday of each month, club members will meet for three hours to work on themselves, and their businesses. Different club levels are available depending on the kind of help you need, with mid-level memberships starting at $197 a month. Basic members receive group coaching, continuing education classes, and networking opportunities with other business owners, while standard members will receive additional email and phone support, accountability sessions and business surgery membership (1 on 1 support to solve individual business problems). How to Plan Networking Events That Work for Everyone

All small business owners come to learn the importance of networking with their local communities. Networking helps boost our businesses in various ways. It can help us meet potential clients, employees, and help us learn how to run our businesses better. But, networking is often done the wrong way. Create a planning committee

Whether you’re planning your own event or are coordinating with other small business owners, it’s important to rely on the guidance of an event planning committee. Make sure to recruit a diverse group of people who can help represent the needs of those who will be attending.

Be aware of the space, time, and location of the event.

Planning a networking event after work in a bar is common, but it doesn’t always work for everyone. During your planning time, make sure to present questions that will help create an intentional and comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Ask questions like, Will women feel safe here? or Is this setting comfortable for those who choose not to drink alcohol?

Get Feedback

You might consider using different tools to gain insight from those who will be participating in the event. Surveys can help you gather information when it comes to where to host the event and at which time or day of the week. Think outside the box

While most networking events occur in the evening, you might consider hosting a daytime event during the workweek. This might allow a greater attendance, while also promoting a healthy work-life balance for your event-goers. Try hosting a lunch or breakfast and stay away from alcohol centric events.

Find resources that work for you and your team:

Since remote workplaces are becoming more popular, there have been a plethora of tools designed to ease some of the challenges that come with it. When it comes to building a strong team, it’s important to decide which tools you will use, as well as when and how you will use them. Here are a few to consider:

  • Virtual Meetings- If you are working on a project with other team members, or are holding a team meeting to catch up, you might consider using a virtual meeting tool like Skype or Google Hangouts. This allows you to video chat with others on the conference call, making the meeting a little more personal.
  • Use a central hub- Whether you are sharing important documents with your coworkers or just need a communication platform, other than email, organizational sites like Slack or Asana are worth considering. These sites allow you to chat, share documents, and assign tasks to others in your group.

Build personal connections:

It seems obvious, but don’t forget the small talk. It might seem trivial, but asking friendly questions like, How was your weekend? Or How are things going for you this week? can remind your coworkers that despite your distance, you still support them. Working remotely can be lonely for some people, so don’t hesitate getting together in person for lunch meetings or after work happy hours.
